Here for everone!

We are a community spirited Day Centre for anyone 55+ to come and enjoy a welcoming environment and to spend time with fellow residents of Hockley, Hawkwell and surrounding areas. We have home cooked meals (two courses) at a reasonable cost, provide entertainment and have bingo, scrabble and other various activities throughout the week (Mondays to Thursdays). Even if you just want to pop along and have some cake and a drink in the mornings we will always be pleased to see you.

We have a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to provide a caring and nurturing environment for everyone and help to make the Day Centre what it is.

Come along and join us, we would be pleased to see you and show you what our day centre is all about as we are very proud of what we have achieved!

Hockley and Hawkwell Day Centre are a self-funded local Charity which was established just over 30 years ago, and are proud to be able to provide a facility that is and has been a lifeline and vital source for friendships and connections for people over the age of 55.

This is an excellent facility for the elderly. I would recommend anyone to go here. The people are lovely and it is very welcoming. My Dad went here for years for his lunch and met some wonderful people. And when the weather was bad he was picked up in their Community Bus. Thank you to everyone that looked after my Dad and made sure he was OK.
